    You are considered a non-school leaver if you are:
    a student completing a non-standard Year 12 (ie: an Accelerated Christian Education);
    a current candidate for the Queensland Senior External Examination;
    an Australian citizen completing an overseas secondary program;
    a student completing the NCEA (level 3) in New Zealand;
    undertaking bridging, preparatory or tertiary study; or
    not currently studying.
    Non-school leaver applicants are required to apply at QTAC for any undergraduate programs. If you need assistance in lodging your application, please phone 13CQUni (13 27 86).
    If it has been sometime since you studied at school and you are now wishing to undertake tertiary studies at CQUniversity, like a school leaver, you will be required to meet the minimum entry requirements for your chosen program. The entry requirements will take into consideration prerequisite study that is required and also relevant qualifications and/or work experience. You can meet entry requirements through the STAT (Special Tertiary Admissions Test), which is a two-hour aptitude test designed to allow you to demonstrate your potential to successfully study at university. Another option is the PCA (Personal Competencies Assessment), which is a written statement in which you address specific criteria, allowing you to show the knowledge, skills, abilities and personal qualities you have gained through life experience to succeed in your chosen course.
