See im 11 and in 5th grade and this one girl just get my attention alot, no shes not some overrated popular girl... I dont even know if they have those anymore. And i smile sometimes and she smiles back but i always wanted to be in some sort of a relationship no its ok if we are bffs but yeah. Im not lets so overpopular just i hang out with the cool kids which for some reason always something happens at lunch. Now i dont want to creep her out but what happens if I just try to be nice but then theres that awkward moment and its stabbing you. I really like this girl and I dont even know if she likes me or even thought about it.... Please help me last year I didnt really care about bffs and gfs and i think that now that i think of it i denied some people without even knowing! Plus im not overweight and yeah so just please help and i will love internet forever.

First and foremost, know that the fact that she smiles back at you is a favourable sign. I am not saying that it means she wants to marry you down the line, simply that smiles are both a friendly and warm gesture.
Let me start by asking you what you know about this girl? Do you have mutual friends? If you do, perhaps a situation could arise where you, her and said mutual friends hang out together. I find that the best way to get someone to like you is to let them get to know you and vice versa.
If you don't have mutual friends, please don't panic. You can approach her and be confident in doing so. Try to approach her with a smile and a topic of conversation to work with. Funny stories or recent events within the school are good starting points. When you do talk to her, use humour and listen attentively. Be sure to make eye contact and smile. Be natural and remember that she is flesh and bone just like you - no need to be nervous, you'll do great.
