Learn algebra easily

I am a student of grade 7. My Mathematics teacher has recently started a new chapter that is known to me as Algebra. I have not been exceptionally good at Mathematics since I am studying this subject as it gives me a real tough time. In all the other subjects I am as good as anyone else but when it comes to Mathematics, particularly algebra I am totally confused. Hiring a tutor is not feasible for me so I would like someone to tell me on how to learn algebra easily.

Most of the school kids find it difficult to learn algebra. The easiest way to learn Algebra is by making relations and converting them into equations. For example, if Alan and David have altogether $30. If Alan has $17, how much David has?

In this relation you can represent the amount David has by “x”. Hence:

X + 17=30

X= 30 – 17

X= 13

So David has $13.
