I have recently been appointed as an English teacher in one of the famous and biggest school of the city. I did my graduation in Mathematics and hold Masters Degree in Business Administration but was asked to teach English by the headmistress instead of those subjects I studied. As I needed a job rather desperately so I took up the challenge. I have realized that teaching English is not at all an easy task. Since English has never been an elective subject for me so I would like to know about teaching English as a second language.

As a teacher, you need to know the very basics of English language with emphasis on grammar. The more simply you are able to teach your students, the more positive response you will get from the students.
