"The introduction should be written to gain the reader's attention and give him an outlook of the essay's key points. Start with the words which can gain reader’s attention. To grab reader’s attention, is up to you but here are some ideas: Startling information: This information at the starting of the paragraph must be authentic and valid, and it doesn't need to be completely unknown to your readers. It could simply be a relevant fact that specifically shows the issue you desire to make. If you use a piece of startling data, pursue it with a sentence or two of elaboration. • Anecdote An anecdote is a story that demonstrates a fact. Be sure your anecdote is not lengthy, precise, and related to your essay theme. This should be a very effective opener for your essay, but use it carefully. • Dialogue A suitable dialogue does not need to classify the speakers, but the reader must understand the idea you are aspiring to convey. Use only two or three exchanges between speakers to make your point clear. Follow dialogue with a sentence or two of elaboration. • Summary Information A few sentences which clearly explain your theme of essay through common examples can lead the reader’s attention to your writing. Each sentence should become gradually more specific, until you reach your thesis. • If the attention grabber was only a sentence or two, add one or two more sentences that will lead the reader from your opening to your thesis statement. • Finish the paragraph with your thesis statement."
