    Chevrolet designers have spent hour’s modifying the shape of the seventh generation corvette, the new Chevy corvette is heard to be of a ZR1 trim, The new Vette's pics are not yet revealed by GM. The ZR1 trim vette is expected to come out later than a base model of the Corvette.
   
   however the engine room for the New Vette has seen some significant changes, GM has invested about a billion on American plants that are producing the small block V-8's, the fifth generation of these blocks are expected to be in the C7. Downsized engine blocks are expected to increase efficiency, The new vette will be running on a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter in place of the current 6.2 in the base model. (As for the oft-rumored twin-turbo V-6? We’re thinking C8.) The 5.5 will continue to use an aluminum block and should make roughly the same 430 hp as the current 6.2, however, with a higher compression ratio and direct fuel injection. The V-8’s powering the new Vette are expected to have cylinder deactivation, variable-valve timing, and could even have stop-start functionality.
