it starts and idles you can let it run twenty minutes runs great rev it up whatever( parking brake on ) when i go to drive it it will go 1/2 mile to a mile and stall pull hard but starts right back up stall again and then be locked up.  It seems like when it gets warm ( whatever is locking up) than it locks up and cant turn the motor or anything than let it sit for a minute or 2 and it is good to start again. i am stumped what can be locking up when it dies track still is rolling could it be a clutch issue by locking up i mean you cannot at all pull the pull cord.

It may be possible that your oil pump is not working, mix 3 oz. per gallon of gas you put in gas tank. If you can siphon out the gas in the tank mix the oil with it and dump the gas back in. If it seizes the next time you start it try rocking the motor by grabbing the primary clutch on the motor and try to move it back and forth. If you can move it this way maybe something is binding up in the recoil, may sound stupid but its free and simple, if the pistons are the cause to many times locking up and it will cause permanent damage good luck
