I have a Sanyo Vizon m/n HT27547 television. Can I reprogram the channels without the remote?

   I have the same TV, I have used a remote from radio shack Kameleon 6-in-1 but it will not do much but do channel and volume up and down and punch in the channel # it will only do that, I did use another remote it too only did that. I am looking to buy the original one that comes with it. But if you do have use of another universal remote like for Verizon or Comcast they may be able to do the same as the other two remotes, so if not the I sagest use the remote that came with the TV.
