Question:

I have a solid Oak Mantle with a tag from C.B. Atkin Company, Knoxville, TN

The mantle is beautiful and in very good condition, the oak is cut across the grain. There is no ID number or date that I can find but the tag is paper not a stamp and the buyers name and address is written on it. I figure it was manufactured late 1800 to mid 1900. I would like to find out what it is worth as I have no room for it and would like to sell it.

    I have one to, mine is from King Mantel Co. after CB Atkin became famous for the product, saw couple similar ones like me on e bay. Fultted columns, quartersawn wood...estimate mine after 1913. Prices on ebay range from 250-900 dollars. I also have the iron and marble inserts for coal burning.
