Hi everyone,
I'm thinking to audition for the JYP USA audition.
Here are my questions: if any of you know the answer for my questions, please write me back! thanks a lot.

1. If you are applying for a singer part, do you still have to dance?
2. Do you know what time the audition starts?
3. If you get in, do you have to quit the school you are going now and move to Korea right after you get in?
4. How many people can get in to JYP through this USA audition?

Thank you very much!

    Hi,
    1. I'm not sure, but you could get noticed if you're talented.
    2. yes, nichkhun and jaebeom learned korean when they were trainees.
    3. never auditioned before, i might audition this time. ;)
    4. you can't rap and sing individually, they said if you want to rap and sing, find a song that have rapping and singing parts. i don't think you could play the flute there, you write down you can play the flute on the "experience" section of the application.
    5. C. don't know about acting, but for mc/vj you should prepare typical mc dialog like introducing songs or artists.
    D. yes.
    6. you're suppose to send the form to get a number but you can still fill out the application on the day of the audition. i think you mean the online audition? the online audition is different from the walk-in auditions.
    7. don't think you need to bring pictures, they videotape everyone one by one when they're auditioning.
    8. no. as long as they know you could look good without braces or without clear skin. i think they can see your base look.
    9. download it here http://www.sendspace.com/file/ksxuet

    2. when do you have to send in the video by?
    3. say you get the registration number 46. does that mean youre the 46th person auditioning? cause i read somewhere that you register again when you get to the audition spot and they give you another number or something.
    4. do you think that if i go like 30 minutes early, and register, ill be able to audition early?

    1. After you do your singing audition, and after everyone else is finished, they'll put on some music to see if anyone wants to freestyle.  It's not mandatory to dance, but you should at least move around and feel the beat, after all, you're there to impress the judges, right? If they can at least see that you're trying I'm sure it'll go a long way, it usually lasts 30 seconds or so, unless there's someone really throwing it down.

    2.  If you search around a little bit, you'll find out that information.  Sometimes it can start as early as 11:00 AM, and auditions usually end at 6:00 or 7:00 PM.

    3.  I'm not completely sure, I've never been called back, but I know you do relocate to Korea if you get accepted as a trainee.  I don't know if it's straight after you get accepted or what, I guess it depends.  Also, there is usually a second audition; like, if they liked you this time around they might call you back for another audition to make sure you're worth taking in.  As for schooling, yes, you will have to leave the school you're currently attending.  I know SM pays for everything once they get a new trainee, like housing, schooling, and the plane ticket, I don't know about JYP, but I'm sure they do the same thing.

    4.  It depends on how many people catch the judges' eyes.  Sometimes they don't accept anyone during that year because they couldn't find what they were looking for.

I hope that helped ;] I've auditioned the past two years so this is just some info I've managed to scrounge up.  If you do decide to audition, good luck! Try not to be nervous, because that nervousness can usually read all over your face when the camera is rolling.  And as for the other questions...

    - Yes, you can send a video of your audition through e-mail if you can't make it in person, but I heard they rarely go through all of them :[
    - I'm pretty sure the video should be sent before the date of the audition, but I could be wrong.
    - I've never sent an audition through e-mail so I can't give you a definite answer, though that's probably how it works.  They do give you a number when you fill out the application at the audition spot.
    - If you're one of the first to get a number, you should be able to go first in the auditions.  They call you into the audition room by groups of ten or more, so you won't be going in alone, but that also means you're going to do your audition in front of everyone DX
    -  Modeling is a category you can audition for, they usually ask you to do 3-5 poses to the camera and maybe ask you to walk for them.  People auditioning in this category also have to participate in the freestyle dance ( See first answer. ) and could be asked to sing, though I've never seen this happen.
