I have been noticing that my mother is having some remarkably wrong with her memory. She never used to forget anything and now she hardly remembers anything in normal routine. She is into her late 50s at present but I would like to know if this age factor has anything to do with memory loss.

Most of us could possibly be of the view that memory loss has a lot to do with the age factor. Memory loss is a normal and a very common characteristic of the aging process. Normally, this kind of memory loss does not prevent you from performing routine tasks and live a productive life. The Memory loss symptoms are usually noticeable to someone very close or familiar with the affected person, but may not be noticed by most others. In this situation, remembering a name or a recent task or event may becomes difficult and requires a lot more effort, while the affected person is mostly aware of his or her memory loss. Some of the common symptoms are listed below:

       1. Same questions asked repeatedly.

       2. Find the right words for expression becomes.

       3. A very familiar task becomes unfamiliar and forgotten.

       4. Prominent errors are made like placing things at wrong places.

       5. Losing way in familiar area or location.

       6. Mood or behavior changes for no evident reason.
