England has been making its way to the final of the mega event thrice in the cricket history. Back in the second world cup final, they were defeated by the might West Indies. Then in the finals of 1987 and 1992 world cups, they were defeated by Australia and Pakistan respectively batting second on all the three ocassions. With the English captain in good form and some good bowling attack, England has a bright chance for lifting the world cup trophy for the first time. Otherwise, it will remain a dream for the English team perhaps for another few years.
