Intermittent explosive disorder - Doesnt sound like a real condition does it? but it is, a very serious one at that! Road rage. Domestic abuse. Angry outbursts or temper tantrums that involve throwing or breaking objects. Sometimes such erratic eruptions can be caused by a condition known as intermittent explosive disorder (IED).

Intermittent explosive disorder is characterized by repeated episodes of aggressive, violent behavior in which you react grossly out of proportion to the situation. People with intermittent explosive disorder may attack others and their possessions, causing bodily injury and property damage. Later, people with intermittent explosive disorder may feel remorse, regret or embarrassment.

Intermittent explosive disorder occurs most often in young men. If you have this anger disorder, treatment may involve medications and psychotherapy to help you control your aggressive impulses.

i never knew this was actually a 'condition'.. ive come across many people with this issue.. maybe i should speak with them and ask them to get medical attention.. but thats the problem, there's no easy way to discuss something like that..

such young ones need to be grounded and kicked on thier asses :) no physician is required..parents should lock them up and give them 2 tight slaps! yeah thats the way to deal with em!
physicians just come up with such terms to collect money for themselves! offcorse if they dont howd they run thier businesses ;)

I have IED, and it is very real, maybe less people should quit acting like they know if it is real or not if they dont experience it sometimes, It isnt a excuse to act bad, its a illness that causes us to loss control in anger, the mental and physical abuse we put out is just overwhelming to everyone in our life boss's, friends, family, and the general public

i agree with Guest221981. it truly is a real condition. my wife suffers from it and it takes alot of will power from both of us to deal with it..
