Is booking United Airline tickets online cheaper than a travel agent?

I heard that when we buy ticket of United Airline online it is expensive then bought from travel agent. Now can you tell me that when I buy ticket of United Airline online will it be expensive then that which I buy from travel agent.

    When you purchase your ticket at united.com, you don't have to pay any reservation fee that you have to pay at United reservation office or to an authorized travel agent. So, online ticket is cheaper as compared to book through a travel agent.
