Fine arts developed in the 17th century with art forms such as painting, sculpture, architecture, music and poetry from aesthetics. Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the nature of art, beauty and taste. Applied arts apply design and aesthetics to objects of function and everyday use. It includes industrial design, graphic design, fashion design, and interior design, amongst others.
