The attraction of hybrid vehicles has been two-fold: first is of higher fuel mileage and the other less pollution than their gasoline counterparts. Of course, there is a little price to pay, as they usually cost quite a bit more than their standard gasoline versions.

This midsize sedan boasts 34 mpg and runs cleanly so that it earns an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) certification. And still the Camry Hybrid is hardly any expensive than the top-of-the-line four-cylinder Camry XLE. It clearly has Better performance by virtue of its higher output that is(187 horsepower as compared to 169 hp). To be on the fair side, the XLE does have a some extra luxury features as standard.

At very low speeds the Camry Hybrid can run on electric power. At higher driving speeds, the gas engine has advantage over it. When maximum thrust is needed, like for instance for climbing grades or swift passing and merging, the electric motor then joins the gas engine. These transitions are virtually seamless, and like the Camry Hybrid otherwise feels and drives like a normal Camry. That means a pretty quiet cabin, a comfortable ride and an isolated feeling behind the wheel.

It's true that some consumers might prefer a more engaging driving experience. The 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid comes with standard features such as 16-inch steel wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless ignition and entry, and the eight-way power driver seat, a 60/40-split rear seat, it also has a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a trip computer and a six-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with the auxiliary audio jack.

With the acceleration of 8.4-second sprint from zero to 60 mph, the Camry Hybrid's acceleration lies between that of the four-cylinder and also V6 non-hybrid Camrys , although it's closer to the four's. Fuel economy is an impressive with 33 mpg city/34 mpg highway and 34 mpg combined.
