Kenmore elite gas dryer 110-70942990 no heat. everything else works fine. just wont heat up. ?

    Hi! there
    Independent of the dryer.  If you removed the gas valve assembly from the dryer, attached a gas line and then apply 110 volts, if would light up and heat.  When diagnosing, find the source voltage and when first starting the dryer, check this source for the presence of 110 volts.  If it is not there, the problem is in the dryer portion of the dryer.  If it is, the problem is with the gas valve assembly.
