    Hi There,
If the model you have is the same as the several Lindens I have seen, the chimes are rods, mounted in a brass block. They can be tuned by changing the effective length of the rod. On some models, the rods are held with set screws, and on some the rods are threaded into the mounting block. The ones that are threaded can be very difficult to change, as they tend to get corroded in place with time. There are two ways of changing them, The preferred cure for this is to gently!!!!! heat the block with a propane torch, while applying pressure to loosen the thread. Alternatively, the clock can be left permanently off from a fixed pitch, but tuned with the proper relative pitches, by arbitrarily calling the lowest note D, and filing the other rods shorter to achieve the proper intervals.

Westminster chimes should be tuned as follows, in descending order: B A G and D. The A should be 440, or some octave thereof. Once that note is set, D is a fifth lower. G is a fifth lower than the D and then up an octave.  B is then a third above the G.

The complete Westminster Chime is as follows: B A G D; B G A B ; G B A D; D A B G. Some Linden movements have a fifth rod for striking the hours. If yours is one of these, the fifth rod should be a minor seventh E below the lowest D. Otherwise, the hour strike is usually a perfect fifth accomplished by lifting and dropping the D and A hammers simultaneously, although, here again, I have seen movements that use other combinations, such as a G Major chord (GBD), or a D6 chord (DAB).

We were on vacation and and the clock stopped.  Now when it chimes the time it is off - like 8:00 and it chimes 3 times. How do we fix that?
