One of the best medical colleges in Islamabad is “Shifa college of medicine”. Shifa College of Medicine is a highly selective medical school located in Islamabad, Pakistan and affiliated with Bahria University. The school was founded in 1999 by the Shifa Foundation, an organization developed by American-Pakistani physicians, with the intention of creating an institution which imparted medical knowledge on a level equivalent to medical schools in the United States. Shifa College of Medicine is now 10 years old, six batches of full fledge doctors have passed out. This has meant that right from its inception, SCM has been looking for ways to turn out better and better doctors. SMC enables us with the latest developments in the field of medicine and in terms of quality it bears comparison with the best available anywhere in the world. The College also sets a high priority in attracting faculty of repute. The college is listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED), and is a member of International Association of Medical Regulatory Authority (IAMRA). Shifa College of Medicine offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Its curricular objectives include clinical competence both in community settings and hospitals. The college has the capacity to admit up to 100 students annually from Pakistan and abroad. The admission on all seats is based on merit. This is applied without discrimination of gender, color, creed, race, religion, or domicile. A student is eligible to apply after completing their Pre-Medical studies. After which they are to take an entry test, which is taken by Shifa College of Medicine. Successful candidates will be called for interviews, after which admission may or may not be granted.
