    noise may be from fan bearings that need lube.
    test: open front grill, reach in and turn blk plastic squirl cage blower.
    if blower will not coast to stop but stops fast,  the bearings are dry!
    remove unit from window, disassemble, drill 1/8" hole in nose of motor
    housing where the shafts come out, until you touch the shaft.clean holes,
    lube and turn blower until blower coasts. reassemble and reinstall.
    relube every 2 yrs. mechanic3810@gmail.com
