I'm am turning 16 this year and my boyfriend will be turning 18 this year. My parents did not like my boyfriend from the beginning and in turn they didn't let me go out anywhere without them , I had to stay at home for nearly a year apart from school of course. When my boyrfriend received the restraining order his parents decided they wanted to go ahead to court , they have a lawyer prepared. My parents pressed charges on my boyfriend for verbally harassing my mother by text message and also that we had s*x when i was about 15 and he was 17 (I would like to know if he would be charged for sexual relations with a minor in Indonesia) . On the other side his parents know that my parents violate many of my rights and are very abusive , his parents want to bring up another court hearing on protecting my rights...they would like me to write a letter regarding what I would like to see change in my parents behavior , and then my parents will have to sign the letter to agree. If they break the promises on this letter their parental rights will be revoked and my boyfriend's parents would like to adopt me. This all seems very confusing to me and I would just like to know who is more likely to win the case for the restraining order? Obviously I would not like it to take place and I would also like to know if the evidence regarding the violations to my rights that were done by my parents could be used to defend my boyfriend from the restraining order . Lastly if i would have to be a witness for the plaintiff I would like to know what it would be like and how I should act in a cross examination with the defense lawyer as I have never been to court before.Thank you,RegardsJonanne
