Question:

Neighbouring Poplar Trees

My neighbour has a row of 6 Poplar Trees growing in the back garden.  They must be at least 120 ft high.  I run a small business from home and am excessively worried each time we have high winds.  At the back of my neighbour's house is a primary school and the playground is right behind the line of trees.

I have asked the neighbour to either cut down the trees or lop them as they are blocking my light, cause endless mess in the Autumn, clog gutters, etc. etc.  To date, I have not had a positive response from him and suffered verbal abuse.

Can I make a claim as the roots may be responsible for cracks appearing in my boundary wall.
