United States Geographical Survey said that New Zealand earthquake struck at 7:30 a.m. early on Thursday morning at the epicenter, 131 miles east of Raoul Island, part of the Kermadec archipelago, and was only 30 miles deep below the crust.

New Zealand civil defense authorities have issued a tsunami warning after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck in the Pacific Ocean northeast of the country, All authorities are on high alert in the area where there is a possible fear that a tsunami can be developed which will hit the nearby area in about two hours after the earthquake struck the area early morning.

“The tsunami may have been destructive along the coastline of the region near the earthquake epicenter Authorities in the region should take appropriate action in response to this possibility.” The civil defense center said in a statement. So all the possible steps have been taken and things are looking like to be in normal situation so far in the areas near to the coastline. There have been no reports of any sort of damage so far. But there is a possible fear of fetal waves to be hitting the coastline areas. And for that very fear authority is taking possible steps which can prevent the area is in case there is a real tsunami.

Now there should be something more advanced then these technologies which are here with our current scientist because they can only tell about the tsunami waves when the earthquake has taken place before that they never helped.
