A friend told me that Nicollette Sheridan is going to sue  ABC and Marc Cherry and she has already file the case in court. I did not get the reason for this. Is this all because of Nicollette Sheridan termination? Do you know something about this news? Please share your knowledge here.

I have read about this news in an article which states that:

The previous executive producer of Desperate Housewives has file a case which supports Nicollette Sheridan's timeline of events with her wrong termination lawsuit against ABC and creator Marc Cherry, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lori Kirkland Baker, the ABC dramedy from May 2007 through May 2009, submitted a sworn resolution on April 9 which backs up Sheridan's allegations about the rank of issues that lead up to her exit from the channel. Sheridan, 47, filed a $20 million lawsuit in April 2010 asserting that Cherry strikes her in the face and that she was discharged from Desperate Housewives after she endeavored to deplore to ABC, and because she is a woman.

"In fall of 2008, Mr. Cherry began talking with the writing staff, I included, about killing off the Edie Britt character," Kirkland Baker mentioned in her declaration, obtained by THR. "I have no recollection of any decision to kill off the Edie Britt character prior to fall of 2008."

Around the time of the alleged slap, said Kirkland Baker, "Mr. Cherry had passed on to the writers, in my presence, enhancing betrayal with Ms. Sheridan." Cherry resultant conveyed the writing employees he had decided to kill off Sheridan's individuality at the end of Season 5, according to the declaration.
