Receiving message "Assertion failed"

Ever since I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 I received the message "Assertion failed" when I attempt to open PrintShop23 Delux.
I have uninstalled/installed PS23 to no avail.  I did the Troubleshooting Compatibility option, trying Vista and XP but no go.  I did get the message Expression: "hr==S_OK" failed at: Process: filel: .\pmw.cpp line 1836 (means nothing to me - hopefully it does to you!).  Also, once I have the "Assertion failed" message on the task bar the only way I can get out of it is to go through Task Manager, End Task.

    Hi,
    This bug has been fixed for Release 14 (R14). For previous releases, read below.

    This assertion may occur in Virtual Reality Toolbox 3.1 (R13+) due to the color node not being populated. To workaround this issue, populate the color node in the WRL file.

    For example, if you open the WRL file as a text file, modify the Color node from

    color Color {   }

    to

    color Color {        color 0.8 0.8 0.8
