The standard LE is powered by a new 187-horsepower 2.7-liter, four-cylinder engine, which makes it a pretty compelling case for itself in these times. The common complaints in the mind of users are its Price and fuel mileage. Toyota's recession-sensitive solution has then been to create the minivan on the market that provides 19 city mpg and 26 on the highway, comparing it to the 18/24 of the 266-horsepower 3.5-liter V6.

The time to 60 mph was a moderate 9.5 seconds, although it feels little sluggish, with its acoustic and the vibrational texture. There is a little help is the slick new 6-speed automatic's near-invisible shifting, with the additional gear which was probably essential with four-cylinder option to be plausible. The driving quality of LE was also impressive. Although the steering effort is lighter,  but it still builds up very nicely just off center. The ride is somewhat similar to Lexus, comfortable and luxurious. Even the brakes have been purged of the sponginess too which are often encountered in Toyotas.

Other features available are, super-wide, 16.4-inch rear LCD screen which provides split-screen viewing of the two separate programs one of which is from the car's DVD source, and the other is from, your iPod, and there is also a wide-angle, 180-degree back-up camera. In our overall road test we found out this minivan truly capable of delivering the ultimate performance which everyone requires from a minivan.
