I have a piano I would like to know the age of. The inside says "Schiller Piano Co. Oregon Ill" and the number in the back is 76403, though I'm not sure if that is the serial number.

    Hi there!
I can not exactly say what age it would have but The company Schiller was founded in 1893 and remained in operation until 1971. The company produced many thousands of pianos through the years and in 1936 the company merged with the Cable Piano Company and produced pianos under the name Cable and Conover. So considering all this I can say that it could be of minimum 50 years or older.

    Take care

I have a Schiller Cabinet Grand and I think the serial number is 30101.  I"m assuming that is what the number is on the lip of the cover?  What year do you think the piano is?  Thanks

Schiller piano's were manufactured from 1892 to 1957, according to The Vintage Piano Shop . However its interesting to note,  that in the Bluebook Of Pianos serial numbers for Schiller piano's are dated from 1950 through 1982.

How do I find out detailed information (ie date, etc) for my Schiller piano?  The serial number is 40816.
