Siemens WD1000 (washer-dryer combo) door won't release

This is a hand me down machine so I don't have the user's manual. In China it is called the Siemens WD1000. It might have another name in other parts of the world. Anyway, after I used the dryer mode the door will not release. The 'open' light will not go on. I used the dryer mode yesterday and the door released no problem. What am I doing wrong this time. I have waited at least ten or fifteen minutes, surely the door should release by now.

    You might want to set the dryer portion of the <a href="http://www.thorappliances.com">washer dryer combo</a> to run for another 20 - 30 minutes.  If the machine thinks the clothing is still wet, it might not let you open the door.
