    In order to become a good lawyer you should have a number of skills including command over the subject matter, experience in dealing same sort of issues etc. Some most important skills required to become a lawyer are:
   
   Excellent Communication:
   
   As a lawyer you must be able to communicate effectively with your client and so have excellent communication skills. You need communication not only to deal with the client, but also with the attorneys and other party lawyers.
   
   Dedication:
   
   As a lawyer you need commitment and dedication, because there’s intense competition in the industry. You must acquire work experience in both a legal and commercial concerns and must be a fast learner too.
   
   Attentiveness:
   
   You must be extremely attentive person because on drafting contracts, a single word in the wrong place can change the whole scenario.
   
   
   
   Ambitious:
   
   You may not progress if you’re not an ambitious person. You must know that competitive business, you should have a clear and realistic plan of where you imagine your career heading in the next five to ten years, and whether it is your aspiration to become a partner at a law firm, or a senior counsel in-house at a global blue-chip company.
