Stretching Exercises for seniors

My Father usually gets annoyed by different joint pains because he usually sits all day, the Doctor told him to exercise as they are helpful in relaxing joints, can I have some exercises for the elders to help them in this situation?

     as we age our muscles become shorter and less elastic, it also affects our bone structure and muscles resulting in decreased motion in shoulders, hips and even the spine. Stretching exercises in addition with breathing activities are a very effective way to relax muscles and relieve tension.

    Stretching exercises can effectively help improving posture in senior citizens; it greatly helps in back pain and even arthritis. Elderly citizens should perform stretching exercises normally 3 to 4 times a week. Following are some stretching exercises for seniors, don’t forget to warm up before performing these exercises.

    Shoulder Rolls

    Neck Rotation

    Shoulder Circles
