   Canal Fox launched the Terra Nova series, which is set in the year 2149 when the industry and overpopulation have finished with natural resources. The series tells the story of the Shannon family, who along with other doctors and scientists travel 85 million years back in time to start again.
   
   One of the main attractions of the series is the contrast between the new technology and the prehistoric era. Among modern weapons and carnivorous dinosaurs society struggle for survival once again.
   
   The series is produced by Steven Spielberg and filmed in Australia. The pilot cost between 10 and 20 million, filming, and although each episode is done in just over a week (like most of the series) takes about 6 post production,nearly double any other program!
