The semi-final between Pakistan and India finally got underway. Members of the two teams went on to shake hands with each other before the start and got introduced with the PMs of both Pakistan and India. Something that went good for India that they were lucky enough to win the toss in a big game and as expected they decided to bat first. India was provided with a very good start by their openers. The Pakistani front line bowlers got smashed all around the park and India at one stage were scoring at almost 10 runs per over. Nevertheless, the Indian momentum was broken by young Pakistani bowler Wahab Riaz in his very first over of the semi-final. The Indian crowd may not ever forget the way Wahab Riaz cleaned up their most lethal batsman Yuvraj Singh, on the very first ball that he faced. The Indian batsman, who was man of the match in last two matches and also went on to be Man of the Tournament, perished for duck on the very first ball which was an absolute ripper from the Pakistani fast bowler.  The Indians, who initially looked to be posting up a total of no less than 350 runs, were restricted to a total of 260 runs by Pakistan, despite not doing very good in the field. This is worth-mentioning here that this score was the lowest by Indian batsman in the world cup 2011. The score of 261 was always within reach of the Pakistani batsman, on a track that apparently looked good for batting.
