V3i screen stays black

I wanted to make a call but my phone screen stayed black. I tried to turn the phone on and the keypad lighted up but the screen remained black. I changed the battery, try to turn it on but there was no change. Oddly enough, when I try to turn the phone on, the keypad lights up at regular intervals (it lights up for 10 seconds, goes off for 2 seconds and lights up again for 10 seconds, and so on and so forth)

    I just happen to have a similar problem. In my case, the external screen remains white, while the internal one only shows the Hellomoto theme. I've changed and recharged batteries, but the problem continues. Any comments?
