There’s dirt and pollution everywhere and so the life in big cities is becoming hectic. I want to do something practical to save environment in big cities. Please help and let me know what can be done practically to save the environment?

There are numerous cost effective and very simple modes to both save the natural environment and save our hard earning money at the same time. • Turn off lights and unplug the electric items you're not using. Cell telephone chargers use electrical power even when your cell phones aren’t charging. Porch lights with burnt out bulbs still consume electricity unless the power switch is turn off. • Turn low the settings of your water heater and cover the furnace in an insulated blanket. You can use a child's bathing noodle to cover some of the pipes. Cut a line down the noodle and impel it over the pipe. • Avoid using treadmill and try to walk outside instead. The treadmill utilizes a lot of electrical power. Cutting down the usage of electric power will assists save the natural environment by decreasing the amount of chemicals power plants release into the air. • Try to recycle everything you probably can. There's so much that can be recyclable now. Inquire from your localized waste department to know what you can recycle curbside. Inquire where you can fall off electric batteries, ink cartridges and florescent light bulbs. • Always go for rechargeable batteries, these are more environment friendly, and they save on production gases for new batteries. Most masses still don't recycle their vintage electric batteries, and these dicey chemicals make it into landfills and contaminate water and soil.
