What are food allergy symptoms?

My lips have been extremely dry and chapped for the last week. They have often felt raw and dry when I wake up even if I put Vaseline on at night. Is this is a symptom of a food allergy?

    People who have food allergies can experience a wide variety of symptoms that can affect the respiratory system, skin, and gastrointestinal system.     A life-threatening allergic reaction to food is called an anaphylactic reaction and requires immediate medical intervention. Symptoms include wheezing, shortness of breath, swelling of the lips, mouth and throat, difficulty swallowing or speaking, vomiting etc
