A friend of mine often used to complain about muscular pains. He was advised to do Pilates by a Physiotherapist and has been doing well since he has been doing the exercise. Just of the sake of my personal knowledge I would like to know about the benefits of doing Pilates.

There are several benefits of doing Pilates which many people are not perhaps aware of. It does not over-develop some parts of the body and ignore others but trains the body as one single unit including the breath and the mind. People of almost all age groups can try these exercises. Pilates makes your muscles long, strong and flexible with increased strength, energy and an improved body posture.
