"The thyroid is a little gland in human body, just resembles with a butterfly that exists in the middle of the lower neck. Its prime working is to regulate the body's metabolism. In order to regulate the metabolism, the thyroid makes hormones, T4 and T3, which notify the body's cells how much energy to utilize.

A thyroid gland with a correct working will sustain the right quantity of hormones required to hold the body's metabolism working at a suitable rate. As the hormones are utilised, the thyroid forms replacements. The amount of thyroid hormones in the bloodstream is checked and controlled by the pituitary gland. When the pituitary gland, which is established in the center of the skull underneath the brain, senses either the deficiency of thyroid hormones or a high amount of thyroid hormones, it will settle down its own hormone (TSH) and convey it to the thyroid to notify it what to do.
