     "Symptoms of cervical cancer

If your smear notices abnormal cells on your cervix, they are generally at an initial pre-cancer level, and don't cause any indications. Treating the abnormal cells stops cancer growth.

If abnormal cells grow into cervical cancer, you may have the symptoms mentioned as follows:

    • abnormal vaginal bleeding, for example between periods or after s*x

    • smelly vaginal discharge

    • pain during s*x

    • vaginal bleeding after the menopause

    • pain in your pelvis

These symptoms aren't habitually due to cervical cancerous infection but if you have them, consult your medical practitioner.

Communicate with your medical practitioner about when to start screening for cervical cancerous infection and how repeatedly to replicate screening. The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists suggests that young girls have their first visit with an obstetrician-gynecologist or family medical practitioner between ages 13 and 15, or before starting sexual life, to talk about sexual activity and modes to prevent sexually transmitted infections, including HPV."
