It has been several month that my husband is having severe cough. Initially I thought that it is something normal but couple of days back there was some bleeding as he coughed up and since then it is there quite often. Kindly tell me if it has to do anything with Lungs Cancer.

Lung Cancer is a deadly disease like all the other types of cancers. If it is not diagnosed and treated in the nick of time, it may result in certain health disorders and even death. Although it takes quite long for the lung cancer to show any clear signs but the below given symptoms should be treated as warning and they are:

    • Persistent and severe cough in smokers

    •
    • Persistent pain in chest, shoulder, or back not related to pain from coughing

    •
    • Volume of sputum increasing

    •
    • Wheezing

    •
    • Persistent cough in non-smokers for over two weeks

    •
    • Sputum color changes

    •
    • Blood in sputum

    •
    • Continuous pneumonia or bronchitis

    •
    • Fatigue

    •
    • Loss of appetite

    •
    • Headache, bone and joints pain

    •
    • Bone fractures without any accidental injury

    •
    • Unsteady gait or episodic memory loss and other Neurologic symptoms
