There are many people I happen to know who are very much fond of eating and are quite carefree about their diet. I have observed that most of them have problems with their digestive systems with constipation being the most common one. I would like someone probably a medical professional to tell me about major signs of constipation before one actually starts treating it.

Constipation is a very common problem and can occur to people of almost all age groups. It can be quite painful and life threatening if not treated properly. The symptoms of constipation can be different in men, women, children and animals. When you feel that you are having constipation, the very first thing that you come across is difficulty in passing of the stool. The stool may be dry, hard and lumpy and the size may be unusually large or unusually small. Besides, you may also feel that you are unable to completely empty your bowel. On the other hand, you can have cramps and aches in stomach with bloated and nauseous feeling and loss of appetite.
