What are the requirement for traveling to Indonesia?

I am from the United States and I am planning to visit Indonesia for the first time. I just want to know what are the requirements to  travel there.

    You need a passport and a valid visa for traveling to Indonesia. Visa is catagorized on the basis of you purpose to visit Indonesia. You can also apply for visa on arrival. The maximum stay permitted by the visa on arrival is 30 days.
    There are regions in Indonesia that the foreign national is not allowed to visit without written permission and approval. The four regions are: Poso, and Irian Jaya/West Papua. You must obtain special authorization from Indonesian authorities if you wish to enter the restricted regions.
