What are you supposed to do if you come face to face with a wild bear?

   From what I know if a bear sees you in close range your first reaction would be to run away, but this could be a mistake. You should stand tall, hold your ground, and try your very best to not seem scared. As you do this try to slowly walk back slowly and talk softly. Also, if you are face to face with a grizzly bear and it seems it is about to attack, play dead and try your best to protect vital parts. If it is a black bear your best chance may be to fight back. Pick up anything around you such as a stick or a pot to defend yourself. Since humans are not prey for bears there is a chance you may be able to scare the bear away.
