Navratri is a Hindu festival dedicated to the celebration of the Goddess Durga. The name Navratri is Sanskrit and means 9 nights, representing the duration of the festival. All in all, Navratri is celebrated 5 times a year and coincides heavily with the Spring and Fall solstice and season change. Celebrations range from fasting and worship to wearind different colours daily and dancing the traditional Gujurati garba dance.
