    A travel visa an oficial document that is issued by a foreign nation permitting a person to enter into said country legally. It is usually either stamped or glued into an active passport. If a visa is required, it is not possible to enter a nation without one. Foreign countries require visas in order to keep track of people entering the country and the purpose behind their visits. For this reason different types of visas (student, work, etc) exist.
