I have heard a lot about caviar. Is it true that it is fish and does it taste good or bad?

Caviar is a food delicacy that is often eaten as a garnish or spread. It is made from salt-cured fish eggs (called roe) from fish known as sturgeon in the Caspian and Black Seas. The roe itself can be eaten non-pasturized or pasturized

In some countries the roe from various other fish is considered as caviar. These fish include salmon, trout and whitefish. Caviar should always remain refrigerated and eaten as soon as possible.
