However, when the internet was initially started, nobody had anything like Facebook in mind. As the internet started invading human lives, they started feeling the need to stay in touch constantly. This laid the basis for the social networking websites. Initially, websites were developed which had the basic connectivity to the loved ones or the people they knew. These website were extremely restricted.In 2004, Facebook emerged as one of the most astonishing social networking websites. Today people from all over the world use Facebook to stay in touch with their friends, family, and peers. It is not restricted to businesses or people for a specific age. Students, employees, housewives, and people from every profession are using Facebook to maintain good relationships. Due to its huge user base and intellectual activities, it is known as the “thinking person’s” social network. Facebook is not the only social network website on the internet; there are many others as well. However, Facebook managed to become the second largest social website of the world in no time.
