According to the latest research, scabies is skin condition that causes persistent itching in the scalp. This happens as a result of burrows made by Scarcoptes scabiei, also called "human itch mite." When the female mites have to lay their eggs they dig burrows in the scalp which causes itching and skin irritation. Usually there are certain chemicals and oils that kill these mites but if used properly and in a required quantity. The oil for mites is a special one and it is recommended that it should not come in touch with your eyes or other part of the skin. It will be painful but just for few moments. Avoid the oil getting on to the pillow or the bed sheet and wash immediately in the washing machine if it happens by any chance. After the oil has stopped stinging your scalp, rinse the hairs thoroughly using a regular shampoo.
