"Unlike other milder forms of acne, Cystic acne can origin critical blemishes and needs a dermatologist's prescription.

    The Best Treatment: Isotretinoin

Isotretinoin is a powerful oral treatment drawn from vitamin A that is taken one time or two times every day for between 16 and 20 weeks. This remedy works best for critical cystic acne because it eradicates all of the determinants of acne: excess sebum production, clogged pores, germs and inflammation.

    Isotretinoin Precautions

Isotretinoin determinants birth defects in evolving fetuses, and due to this reason, its use is crucially supervised in women of child-bearing age. Oral isotretinoin is not recommended for all patients. It can origin expanded sugar levels in diabetic patients, and in some situations, it can origin serious situations for example liver disorder, pancreatitis, hearing difficulties, or depression or suicidal thoughts. The use of isotretinoin should be made only after methodical discussion with a dermatologist.

    Other Treatments

A dermatologist may also recommend a broad-spectrum antibiotic to prevent the germs that determinants the acne, for example doxycline, erythromycin, minocycline and tetracycline."
