My younger sister, elder brother and mom have acne on their faces. I and my father have clear and acne free faces. I need to know what the causes of acne are. Is it genetic or the reason is something else?

Every kind of acne is a clutter of the pilosebaceous unit; it consists of a hair follicle, sebaceous gland, and a hair. The pilosebaceous units are present on every part of the body aside from on the palms, soles, upper side of the feet, and the lower lip. There are maximum units of pilosebaceous on the face, top neck, and chest. In order to hold the skin and hair moisturized, Sebaceous glands make a secretion called sebum. In pre-adulthood sebaceous glands grow bigger and make more sebum under the leverage of hormones which is also known as androgens. After about age 20, sebum output starts to decrease. Pathogen, renowned as Propionibacterium acnes, is a usual resident of the skin. This substance utilizes sebum as a nutrient for development, thus rises in follicles throughout puberty.
