   I would personally have to say The Godfather. It may be a difficult movie to watch for some as it is a long slow movie, but for me, it adds to the appeal as it allows the story to unfold and it stays true to the book. It's very story and character driven, and the proof is it winning Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor for Marlon Brando, while also getting 3 nominations for Supporting Actor for Al Pacino, James, Caan, and Robert Duvall, and a Best Director Nomination for Francis Ford Coppola. In my opinion Coppola was snubbed the Best Director award as I think it was his vision that made this movie into one of the most iconic and influential movies of all time. It is also one of the few movies to get 100% approval on Rotten Tomatoes, which is one of the top websites for movie critics.
